they did not kill mark Antony and he acted to get reveng by killing the conspirators.
Antony is dangerous. Cassius foresaw that Antony, if allowed to live, would thwart the conspirators' plans and make himself a dictator.
They did so secretly to make it seem to Brutus that Rome was in agony under the tyrannical rule of Julius Caesar and that only the most noble man of Rome, that is , Brutus can fre them from that imperialistic yoke.

Well Brutus wasn't a bad person, he only took part in the conspiracy b/c he thought it was for the good of Rome, his tragic flaw didn't make him a bad peron For counter arguments: Caesar's ambition The conspirators were driven by jealousy
The petition about Publius Cimber was an excuse to approach Julius Caesar Plutarch did not say why Caesar exiled Publius Cimber.
The conspirators requested that his brother be granted permission to return to Rome. Caesar denied the pleas and was then stabbed, which resulted in his death.
When Julius Caesar approached the Capitol building on the Ides of March, he ignored multiple warnings about potential threats to his life. Despite being forewarned by a soothsayer and his wife, Calpurnia, about the dangers he faced, he chose to proceed confidently, underestimating the conspirators' resolve. This hubris ultimately led to his assassination by a group of senators who saw the opportunity to strike as he entered the Senate.
In his speech against Brutus and the conspirators, Antony emphasizes the betrayal of Julius Caesar by highlighting his positive contributions to Rome and questioning the motives behind the assassination. He repeatedly refers to Brutus as an "honorable man" while juxtaposing this with evidence of Caesar's generosity and the conspirators' treachery. By showcasing Caesar's will, which bequeaths money to the citizens, Antony stirs public emotion and incites doubt about the conspirators' justification for their actions. Ultimately, his rhetoric shifts public opinion against Brutus and the conspirators, igniting a riot.
Julius Caesar, while going to the Capitol, did not pay heed to the advice of the Soothsayer who bid him beware of the Ides of March and that the day wasn't over yet. He also ignored the petition of Artemidorus which consisted of a warning to him to remain away from the group of conspirators who wanted to kill him. Plus he was not a t all concerned about his security due to over-confidence that no one can ever kill or even harm him.

Brutus is the better leader because he gets persuaded into the assassination by Cassius and he is the only person among the conspirators that believes that once Caesar is killed it will benefit Rome. Everyone else is killing Caesar out of blood-lust, envy, or rivalry.
Brutus and the conspirators believed that Julius Caesar was going to become a tyrant and destroy Rome with his dictatorship. Brutus was very honorable and believed that if they killed Caesar they will be remembered as the men who saved Rome from a tyrant and will become the most honorable men in Rome. But after the death of Caesar they were the most hated men in Rome. Brutus was manipulated and persuaded by Cassius' inspirational words about saving Rome and its people that he forgot the real purpose of killing Caesar. Brutus was the only one who wanted to kill Caesar for Rome the rest just wanted to kill him out of sheer jealousy.(All the conspirators thought that he[Caesar] was power hungry and too powerful for his own good.)
he didnt make any apperantly
