'rolls on the beach all day' and 'rumbling thumbling stones' dis plays the rough sea's nature. in additon 'bones, bones,bones, bones' shows the sea erosion. a hungry dog is different from a normal one. being ravenous it behaves restlessly. when a sea at low tide is very calm than at high tide. therefore, the both the sea and the hungry dog are behaving aggressively with fierce. in the third stanza the sea and the dog are very calm and quiet. the sea is at low tide and the dog has something to eat.'with his head between ...' this movement of adog emphasizes its calmness. the poet has use a simple diction. this art is included with metaphor, personification,assonance,alliterration,onomatopoiea and rhyming words.
