Existentialism significantly influenced the Theater of the Absurd by emphasizing themes of meaninglessness, alienation, and the human condition. Playwrights like Samuel Beckett and Eugène Ionesco incorporated existentialist ideas to explore the absurdity of life, often depicting characters in illogical situations that reflect their struggles for identity and purpose. This theatrical movement used absurdity as a tool to challenge conventional narratives and highlight the irrational nature of existence. Ultimately, the Theater of the Absurd invites audiences to confront the uncertainties of life in a world devoid of inherent meaning.
"Theatre of the absurd" is a label given to certain plays that is often confused with existentialism due to their common denominators, but it still stands out on its own. It suggests that life is inherently meaningless and rejects the idea of "existence precedes essence" since the essence can never be obtained. This failure to obtain the essence is the main divergence from existentialism, which offers a ray of hope in an indifferent universe. Some of the dramatic conventions include: Voice: words, sound and noise as a spectacle, unusual use of silence Movement: mix of realistic, non-realistic, ritualistic, circus Gestures: inventive, considerably orientated towards hands and feet Pantomimic Dramatization; Character: Emotion: special use of primitive and ritualistic artaud techniques Ideas: relevant to Existentialism Language: part of theatrical spectacle; often illogical Mood and Atmosphere: extremely varied Pace/Tempo: varies frequently Special techniques: dance, tumbling, magic, slapstick and more.

The advanced Montessori method does not have a specific release date, as Montessori education evolved gradually through the work of Dr. Maria Montessori, who developed her educational philosophy in the early 1900s. The first Montessori school was opened in Rome in 1907, and since then, the method has been adapted and expanded upon by educators worldwide. The term "advanced Montessori method" may refer to various interpretations and implementations of Montessori principles rather than a singular event or publication.
Who were her contemporaries of Maria Montessori
I am am certified Montessori teacher I do not think that the Montessori method is "rigid" with regards to classroom management. There are responsibilities that the children have in the classroom but these are reasonable and things that the children are completely capable of doing and allow for more independence.
Maria Montessori did not invent the Montessori method in a single year, but rather developed her educational approach over the course of several decades starting in the early 20th century. She began implementing her ideas in 1907 when she opened her first school in Rome, Italy.
