There were may peolpe who were confused that whether Portia was a racist or not? I personally feel that Portia was a racist as when Portia's servant Balthazar announces the arrival of the Prince Of Morocco, Portia says to Nerrisa that "If he have the condition of a saint, and the complexion of a devil, I had ratherhe should shrive me or wive me"
This above statement tells us that Portia was a racist as she had not even met the Prince of Morocco and assumed that he is dark. There is no doubt that Prince of Morocco was dark but she judged him by his complexion not by his personality
