Macbeth says this line when waiting to get the signal to murder King Duncan, in Act 2, Scene 1. He sees a dagger floating in the air in front of him but he cannot grasp it. It is actually three sentences: "Is this a dagger which I see before me, the handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee! I have thee not, and yet I see thee still."

Macbeth vision before he kills Duncan?

He sees a dagger in his hand like the one he will use to kill Duncan. It is purely a hallucination, the audience cannot see it.

Is this a dagger you see before you?

Macbeth. "Is this a dagger which I see before me, The handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee. I have thee not, and yet I see thee still. Art thou not, fatal vision, sensible To feeling as to sight? or art thou but A dagger of the mind, a false creation, Proceeding from the heat-oppress'd brain? I see thee yet, in form as palpable As this which now I draw. Thou marshall'st me the way that I was going; And such an instrument I was to use." Basically, Macbeth is so excited about killing King Duncan that he hallucinates a dagger hovering in the air before him.

In terms of Macbeth and movement towards killing the King what is the purpose of the 'is this a dagger' speech with regard to his state of mind?

We already know from Act I Scene 7 that Macbeth is conflicted about doing the murder. He does not want to lose his wife's affection, and she is using this to prod him onwards against his better judgement. The speech "Is this a dagger which I see before me, the handle toward my hand?" allows him to explore this conflict further. It also allows him to explore his ambivalent position towards the supernatural and its manifestations. He is not sure about whether a floating ghostly dagger is a real warning to him about the heinousness of what he is about to do, or a product of his heat oppressed brain. He has similar doubts about the witches.

How do you tighten the drive cable on a Toro model 20016 lawn mower?

The drive cable on the Toro 20016 front drive mower is easily tightened. The difficulty is in knowing how. The answer is counter-intuitive and had me wondering for a day or so. I almost cut the cable to make it fit but that is NOT necessary. There are two important parts of the cable, the outer sleeve and the inner cable. The key is to route the outer sleeve away from the shortest route to the control handle. In other words do not run it directly from the clutch mechanism to the control handle. Allow it to bend toward the motor, away from the most direct path. Once you have all of the slack out of the sleeve, simply pull the sleeve back toward the clutch mechanism to tighten the inner cable. Pull it back from the adjustment locking collar on the handle. Lock it down at the adjustment collar.Allow some slack in the control cable to make the clutch easier to operate and hold in the engaged position. Trial and error will help you get the final adjustment.Remember, the outer sleeve can not be run directly from the clutch to the control handle. If you do that, the inner cable will seem to be more than two inches too long and you can not get the slack out.Had me guessing for a while but it is really very easy.

How do you adjust the clutch in a 1996 Mazda B2300?

these new clutches dont really have an adjustment per se but you can adjust the pedal travel to gain some time before replacement is necessary. At the floorboard where the clutch pedal is connected to the master cylinder there is a long threaded bolt through a bracket with 2 nuts on it.Move the nuts toward the end of the bolt and you will activate the clutch earlier in the pedal push. This is only for temporary help, it may not help at all depending on the condition of the clutch disk, be prepared to replace it very soon.
