It is heavily considered as a Drama. However, its a long shot, but it could possibly be considered a documentery in some cases. But it is in fact, a Drama.
Some famous playwrights of classical Greek drama include Sophocles, Euripides, and Aeschylus, while for Roman drama, they include Plautus and Terence. Both Greek and Roman drama focused on theatrical performances in open-air theaters, but Greek drama tended to explore mythological themes and the complexities of human nature, while Roman drama often focused on everyday Roman life and satire. The techniques in both types of drama include the use of masks, chorus, and dramatic structure, but Roman drama had a more comedic tone compared to the tragic focus of Greek drama.
The most famous one i probably the writer of the Odyssey and the Illiad, Homer
Some ancient Greek plays are The Persians, Agamemnon, Libation Bearers, Furies; Antigone, Electra, Oedipus, Oedipus at Colonus; Trojan Women, Medea, the Bacchae; The Clouds, The Birds, The Frogs, Lysistrata; The Grump; just to name a few.
There are THREE types of greek drama, contrary to the belief that there are only two. The three types of drama are: comedy, satyr, and tragedy. Here is a website with some info about it (I !): http://www.pbs.org/empires/thegreeks/background/24c.html
Greek mythology is compiled by the thoughts of many writers; some of the most famous authors are Sophocles, Euripedes, Ovid, Homer, and Virgil.
Some of the Greek writers who recorded myths for future generations include Homer, Hesiod, and Apollodorus. In Roman mythology, Ovid's "Metamorphoses" is a significant work that contains numerous myths.
Here is a link to show you how writers name their characters.
It is greek name numbnuts!
It is the same as the Greek. Although some spell it Phaethon.
Echo is the Roman name. It was transliterated (when you replace the Greek sounds with their equivalent Latin letters) from the Greek Ἠχώ. It's similar to how the Greek and Latin words for Apollo are the same, just that the Greek is spelled using the Greek alphabet. Sometimes the Romans didn't have original equivalents, so they just used the Greek name.
