it is true that you need to feel comfortable performing it. i have done popular and won @ some pageants for talent. wicked is good but, as that random person pointed out, it is very popular. do NOT do a popular song because a judge will most likely have heard it before.
here's the checklist:
-DONT do any songs that have been released or remade in the past year
-DONT use a song that a popular song. anything in the top 20 on the charts is off-limits
if you are just doing it as visiting royalty or as a reigning queen, do whatever you want, but be ABSOLUTELY sure that none of the contestants are doing it. ALWAYS bring a back up song!
