Eriness in the hypnotic eyes of mariner captures both the mind of listener and reader and takes them to another age,to the 'sea becalmed' which is full of spernatural elememts.Stranded in the south pole the ship is driven out of there by an Albatross that appears from nowhere. The icebergs split giving a way out.The crime of killing an innocent bird arouses the wrath of spirit who persues them and their ship ibecalmed as a painted ship in a painted ocean. The heat becomes unbearable making their tongues withered to their roots. The water burns blue and green. Thus a willing suspention of dis belif is created. This all are the supernatural elements.
