Not according to record. He was born John Huntington Rea on September 6, 1909. After appearing in such productions as The Man Who Came To Dinner, They Died With Their Boots On and The Big Sleep, he passed away on January 18, 1968 from a heart ailment.

I am not sure where you got your information, yes he was married and had a son, my Father. My Father was born in 1941. I am his granddaughter, I was 7 when he died. If you look back in the Life magazines from the 40's you will see photo shoots with my Grandfather, Grandmother and my Father. He and my grandmother were divorced at the time of his death. My Grandmother died in 1995.
