Love's Divine by Seal, and The Scientist by Coldplay, are two lyrical songs you could dance to for your senior solo. Another suggestion is First Love by Adele.
- Make you feel my love by Adele -Chasing cars by Natasha Bedingfield -First Love by Adele -Dear Friend by Stacie Oricio
There are quite a lot of types of ballet: There is Classical Ballet with the discipline, graceful and strong positions and the French words to describe the positions. There is Lyrical Dance which is ususally an emotional dance which shows more emotion that Classical Ballet. To dance Lyrical, people usually use soul, R & B songs or Pop Songs that have lyrics (hence "Lyrical Dance") that tell a story of love or loss. There is also Contempory Ballet, which combindes Modern and Ballet, with strong jumps, spins and sometimes acrobatics. It can also be graceful and show emotion like Lyrical. Character Dance isn't strictly a part of ballet, as you wear a certain skirt and shoes, but many professional dancers have been commended for their excellent character performances in ballets. The doll Copelia was a character role, as is someone like Bottom in Midsummer Night's Dream. In character dance, it is also very important that you are a good actor, as character roles can include comedy and really thinking like the character you are playing.

Do you mean the type of dance? If so, lyrical or contemporary are good styles for Adele songs :)
Music like slow rock, adult contemporary, singer-songwriter and ballade. (in my lyrical class we dance to OneRpublic and Adele songs)
Definitely Party Rock Anthem. Also it is easy to memorize.
Lyrical would work beautifully with this song. Lyrical works with alot of Josh Groban's songs
If you're talking about lyrical dance Natasha Beddingfield did a cover of chasing cars by snow patrol that's amazing to do a routine too

A good lyrical song without lyrics would definitely have to be Sarah Mclachlan Last Dance. Its easy listening but it does stay at the same level throughout the song. I did a lyrical solo to pride and prejudices Darcys Letter. It has many high and low emotion points in it. Also Love Story by Francais Lai is a classic
