As in the Shakespeare play from which the screenplay is closely adapted, Rosalind lives with her uncle, the new Duke, after her father is banished.
I had to rewatch the film in order to answer this one. All of Shakespeare's comedies contain at least one song, but As You Like It is practically a musical, as there are lyrics to five different songs in the text. In Branagh's film only three of these appear, and two of them are sung by Amiens: Under the Greenwood Tree and Blow, Blow, Thou Winter Wind. The third song, and possibly the most famous, It Was a Lover and his Lass, is sung by the entire company after the wedding at the end of the film. The actor playing Amiens is Patrick Doyle, who has worked closely with Branagh on the music on virtually all of Branagh's films.
