He became father to twins (1585, aged 21), wrote and published his very successful poem Venus and Adonis (1593, aged 29), and wrote his earliest plays (1590-1594 aged 26-29; these dates are approximate).
In his early twenties he was a married man in Stratford, and in his late twenties he was involved in the London theatre scene. Since we know nothing whatsoever about what Shakespeare did between the ages of 21 and 26, a whole bunch of wild guesses have been made: he was an outlaw, he was a schoolteacher, he was a soldier, he travelled the world, he held horses outside the theatre. Nobody knows, so any guess is as good as any other.
Shakespeare turned twenty in 1584, at which time he was a married man with a daughter, living in Stratford. He turned thirty in 1594 in which year he was invited to take on a partnership in a newly-formed dramatic company called the Lord Chamberlain's Men. How he got from being in Stratford to being an established theatre person in London is a bit of a mystery. All we can say is that he was fathering twins in 1584 who were born early the next year, and that he turns up in the London theatre scene as the object of a satirical pamphlet in 1592, and the author of a semi-pornographic poem published in 1593. We know that plays which he wrote were being performed before he turned 30.
It was 1592. Just about this time, Shakespeare was writing his very popular poem Venus and Adonis
