Judges look for pretty much everything. Like pointed toes, energy even the formation. Also they look to make sure that everyone is on the same beat. If you really want to impress the judges show emotion while you dance. For example if you are dancing to a sad song have a sad look on your face. But if the dance is happy be smiley just have fun. But the hardest thing to remember to do at a competition is to be sharp about everything the more sharp you are it will definitely catch the judges eyes. I really hope this helps!

In dance, to improvise something is to make it up as you go. Improvisation competitions occur sometimes in which a song is played and everyone must make up a dance to it on the spot.

You could be a professional, a dance teacher, or a dance judge (who judges dance competitions).
You could join a dance studio so that you could coegograph, and then enter the dances into competitions and if you are good enough then you will win some money because the judges liked your dance so much.

Dance competititions are usually available through dance schools. That way the dancer can represent the school. Many dance schools throughout Victoria can assist with this. Nearly all major cities or towns have a dance school of some description. Look at AUSDANCE WEBSITE for a list of schools, or have a look in Dance Australia Magazine.
