A Ceilidh is a Scottish party or dance. In fact Ceilidh means party. If it is a official ceilidh then the men will wear a button down shirt and a kilt. they also wear knee high socks. the girls will wear their best dresses. If you want to throw a ceilidh then you do not have to do this.
