Why is danforth suspicious of Mary Warren?

Abigail is saying that she is doing God's work by pointing out the devil's people and now she is getting accused that she is pretending. Then Abigail says that Mary Waren is sending her spirit out in the court right know (by creating a cold draft) on her and the other kids. The other kids are all following Abigail's lead and they too are accusing Mary Warren of witchcraft. Danforth is suspicious of Mary Warren and John Proctor because he believes Abigail and the other girls that Mary Warren might be a witch because all the girls are under Mary Warren's spirit.

What does Parris insinuate about Abigail's reputation?

I read that play almost a year ago now, so my memory is a little bit rusty, but I believe that Parris thinks Abigail had made a deal with the Devil. I don't exactly know what part of the play this is in (I think it's near the beginning), so that might effect the accuracy of my answer. If this doesn't sound right, let me know where you are, and I'll try to be of more help.

What do you think might have happened if elizabeth proctor had told the court the truth about her husbands relationship with Abigail?

She would have been equal with John Proctor because he had told the truth. Then there would be no penalty for her to be hanged.

Who is Abigail Williams from the Salem witch trials?

Abigail Williams was the young orphaned niece of Reverend Samuel Parris. Abigail, along with her cousin Betty (Rev. Parris' daughter), and a group of girlfriends accused townspeople of witchcraft in the spring/summer of 1692. Theories for why the girls made such accusations that resulted in the deaths of 19 people include: Abigail and Betty were suffering from rye poisoning (baked breads made from fungus infected grain) to teen-aged boredom. Conflicts between neighbors, Puritanical religious beliefs, poverty, unhealthy living conditions, fierce climate, remoteness of the village, spooky stories told by the slave Tituba, and restless young girls/teen agers all came together in a horrific mix of ingredients. The girls probably felt like celebrities because their popularity and attention paid to them increased with every false accusation they made. It's possible that Abigail and Betty had become ill from food poisoning, but the behavior of the other girls might only be explained as girls behaving very badly. The adults behaved much worse. The town leaders took advantage of the hysteria to rid themselves and the village of unwanted neighbors. It also provided them opportunities to acquire property belonging to the accused. The accused had to pay for their accomodations while in jail. The property/land would often be forfeited to...the town's leaders...the very people who ordered the arrests.
