I don't think Jem dresses up as anything for the pageant, given the fact that he considered himself too old for Halloween, and said he wouldn't be caught anywhere near the high school at something like that (page 338). Scout, on the other hand, dressed up as a ham, because Mrs. Merriweather thought it would be adorable if some of the children were costumed to repesent the Maycomb county's agricultural products (also page 338).
