Juliet is sitting on her bed with Friar Laurence's potion to simulate death in her hand. Should she take it? What if something goes wrong? She is getting cold feet and is pursuing her fears as she hesitates to take the potion.

The plan is that she will appear to be dead and will be buried in the family crypt. These crypts are airtight, but she will not be breathing enough to use up all the oxygen. Once she wakes she will breathe fully and will use up oxygen, but that won't matter because by that time Romeo will have come and broken the airtight seal to get into the vault.

Or will he? What if he doesn't get there in time? "Shall I not then be stifled in the vault?"
