what they mean by body awareness is that you have to be aware of what your body is doing. because many people start dancing when they are younger, as they continue to dance, there body will develop (through puberty). so, when you are twelve, your body, even if you don't think so, will be doing differrent things and looking different when you do the same movements. it will take a while to get used to this change!

be aware of your body, paying attention not only to body changes that come along with the age, but also, pay attention and listen to your inside body- muscles, joints, tissues, blood, expiration and respiration process. Follow your body in each movement, improving it`s quality constantly. Let your body react to music and credit him a lot- he knows better than you how to respond.
