Dynamics in music is how soft or loud the music is to be played. The dynamics are show

through different symbols such as P which stands for piano which means soft and F

which stands for forte which means loud. These are only a few examples as there are

many different dynamics used in music. Dynamics make the music more interesting and

can help portray across the message that the composer is trying to send.

The musical term 'dynamics' literally means loud or quiet. A list of dynamics (they are usually written as Italian words, so I will write them in Italian and put the definition in): - piano (p) = quiet - mezzo piano (mp) = moderately quiet - pianissimo (pp) = very quiet - forte (f) = loud - mezzo forte (mf) = moderately loud - fortissimo (ff) = very loud
