In the tenth book of the Private series, Reed Brennan and Noelle Lange are off to St. Barth's to a waiting vacation and their friends (which Reed hasn't meet in quite a while). There Reed meets Upton Giles, the most sought-after guy on the island. He is obviously head over heels for Reed, although there are many who are jealous of her, including Paige Ryan. Someone is trying to sabotage Reed, and she thought it was Paige. Someone tried to push her off a boat and into the ocean (successfully), spook her horse while she was on it and rig her ski jet. She even told two police officers (bad ones) to kidnap her and kill her. It turned out that this someone was Mrs. Ryan, Paige and her brother Daniel's mother. She was jealous of the relationship between Reed and Upton, since she used to have a thing with Upton and was even his "first time", even though she was so much older than he was.
