It is not known exactly when Shakespeare began writing, but contemporary allusions and records of performances show that several of his plays were on the London stage by 1592.
Well techinically Shakespeare had twins.....Hamnet and Judith. But after that until 1592 that period was called his "lost years" because no one really knows what happened to him. 1592 he showed up in London as a playwright. It is rumored that he became a school teacher, had a run in with the law, poached deer, and a few other things that no one can necessarily prove true.
The theaters in London were shut down continuously from mid-1592 through mid-1594. The bubonic plague forced the acting troupes to travel instead.
