What tony awards did brigadoon win?

It was a dramatic musical play. I am not sure it was adapted to movie form. My Fair lady was, of course, also by Lerner & Loewe. I am not sure Brigadoon was done in movie format.

What is story of Fiona's mother in Brigadoon?

We really don't know too much about Mrs. MacLaren in "Brigadoon" other than that she has died, and her absence is strongly felt by her daughter, Jean ("Bonnie" Jean) on her wedding day. (Jean is one of Fiona's sisters.) Jean is wearing her mother's bridal veil, and does a special dance (ballet on stage)in remembrance of her mother. Fiona is the older sister and when she is asked when she will marry she lets us know that she is "picky" as to whom she will give her heart to. (Meeting Tommy transcends time and space for both Tommy and Fiona...and he is of course her one and only love...despite his already having a fiancee that he is not too keen on marrying..he falls in love with Fiona and wants to be with her forever. The only way for a person to remain in Brigadoon "forever" is to not only love Brigadoon, but to love someone there with all their heart. Once he realizes he cannot get Fiona out of his mind (and heart) Tommy returns to the place where he found Brigadoon (and although it is no longer in sight) he is able to return there to be with Fiona forever, because of his deep love for her) At one point we learn that there are eight MacLaren sisters who are all adults under the age of 25. Although one was considered an adult at a much younger age back in the days of Brigadoon, this still implies Mrs. MacLaren had quite a few children in a very short period of time. It is merely conjecture on my part, but childbirth was a much riskier experience then than it is today, and perhaps she passed away after her youngest was born. I don't remember anything in the story about the cause of her demise. Please forgive me if I have overlooked an explanation that was given in "Brigadoon". "Brigadoon" is my mother's favorite love story of all time, and as a child, life at our house came to a standstill every time it was broadcast on television. I have always wished I could gift her with tickets to a live performance.

What year did the town of Brigadoon appear?

It is a fictional establishment, akin to Glocka Mora or Shangri-La. It never did exist. I never saw the play- so I do not know how the time-warp was resolved. they may have used the nightmare or Govt. test experiment (short-cut) to explain the unexplainable.
