From my friend's and I's standpoint, we believe it's about the author who loves another woman. And expresses her love discreetly about it through a poem because it was dated back in 1935. And she expressed how physically attracted she is to the person and how she knows about men who would come to her quickly because of her attractiveness. It's either that or she's envious of a woman who gets men with ease and she expresses her jealousy by describing her interactions with others and how she views the woman herself.
