A limerick's meter is an amnibrachaic trimeter (weak, strong, weak, weak, strong, weak, weak, strong)in lines 1, 2 and 5 and a sonnet's meter is an iambic pentameter (weak, strong, weak, strong, weak, strong, weak, strong, weak, strong) in each line.
