The assisant is there to assist the instructor in the class by helping him/her to warm up the class with stretches and warmups, demonstrate and execute certain body movements and steps when called upon to do so and train closely with the instruuctor as much as possible. This is also helpful to the instructor when the instructor can not come to class to teach, the assistant can fill in for him/her.
