A melancholy strain means a sad song sung by someone.

Not really unless you put too much strain on your hands and spine.
Dancing is extremely rigorous and puts great strain on the muscles. Stretching after dancing prevents stiffening and buildup of lactic acid.
There is a small logic we can calculate the load capacity, for that we need Stress and Strain formulas, shearing moment and bending moment, from that we can know where the system fails and works........ DR.....
You don't really have to be fit, but breakdancing takes much upper-body strength. If you're not used to breakdancing, you shouldn't strain but at least start small and don't overdo it.
William Wordsworth's The Solitary Reaper, a short lyrical ballad, conveys the theme of ironic beauty of melancholy over more positive feelings such as joy projected through the song of a highland lass. Composed of thirty two lines and divided into four stanzas, the poem is dominated by one central figure, a highland girl standing alone in a field harvesting grain. The poem is written in the first person and can be classified as pastoral, describing a scene from the country life. In the first stanza, the poet indicates how the solitary highland lass is reaping and singing a song which is incomprehensible to the poet. The poet urges not to disturb her in her work and her singing. He suggests one to either watch her or gently pass from the scene. The poet highlights how the solitary reaper sings a melancholic tune while doing her work. The poet emphasises how the entire valley is flowing with the sound of the song. In the second stanza, the poet is all praises for the tune of the song. The poet is unable to understand the language of the song but the tune is quite expressive. In this stanza, the poet employs the literary device of metaphor and hyperbole to emphasise the enchanting quality of the song. The poet categorically says that no nightingale did ever chant in such a mellifluous voice, the quality of voice of the reaper surpassing that of the cuckoo-bird in spring. In the third stanza, the poet tries to conjecture about the themes of the song. Given its melancholy tune, the poet feels that the theme of the song might be of some natural sorrow, loss or pain or of battles fought long ago. Finally, the poet concludes that even if he cannot grasp the meaning of the song, he finds the tune touching his heart and lingering in his mind for ever giving him joy despite its melancholy nature.
The poem "Solitary Reaper" is one of the marvelous creations by the nature romantic William Wordsworth. One day while walking through the silent, serene Scottish valley, Wordsworth wishes to listen to melodious song of the reaper girl without being disturbed by the onlookers. He simply asks them to "stop here or gently pass". He is so overwhelmed by the song that he compares it with that of the nightingale and cuckoo bird which are supposed to offer solace to the weary band of travelers in the oasis of the Arabian Desert and break the silence of the Hebrides Island respectively. Despite his inability to make out the meaning of the song, he guesses the theme of the song from its melancholy strain. What he appreciates about the song is its tone, its vibrant expressiveness, "the spontaneous overflow of powerful feeling". Additionally, the final two lines again typically convey the theme of memory and how it comforts him during the pensive mood.
Alliteration - where words begin with the same letter or sound. I thinks this comes from Wordsworth's "The Solitary Reaper", where Wordsworth uses words beginning with "s" throughout the poem - single, solitary, stop, sings, shady, spring-time,sands, silence, seas, strain, some, sorrow, singing, sickle. Sadly, some other soul should say what the point of this was - I have no idea. The folk-rock group Lindisfarne did a similar thing in "Fog On The Tyne" - Sitting in a sleazy snack bar, sucking sickly sausage rolls. Slippin' down slowly, slippin' down sideways....

A strain is a medical term meaning there has been abnormal stretching on a muscle and its tendons. This generally causes a painful contraction of the muscle in an attempt to protect itself from further damage. A lumbar strain is a strain in the lumbar region of the back, specifically, the region of the back from below the ribcage to where the spine attaches to the pelvis. This is a very common cause of back pain.

Avian virus is a virus strain found in birds. This virus causes flu and it was reported that human death occurred due to this virus strain.
flexilibility is the ability of our to perform a wide range of motion easily and without strain injury.
The strain liquid is a type of liquid that has unique characteristics and properties. It is known for its viscosity, which is the thickness or resistance to flow. Strain liquids can also exhibit elasticity, meaning they can return to their original shape after being deformed. Additionally, strain liquids can display non-Newtonian behavior, where their viscosity changes depending on the applied stress or shear rate.
A tune, air, strain, or a whole piece, played by a single person on an instrument, or sung by a single voice.
A very important characteristic about bacteria actually created live S-strain to exist in the dead injected mouse. Bacteria is competent, in biological terms, meaning that cells can take up "naked" DNA from it's environment. Knowing that fact, when the heat-killed S-strain pneumoccus mixed with the live R-strain, the R-strain took in the DNA, therefore inheriting the deadly coating of the S-strain. So the R became S, and killed the mouse.
