Macbeth asks who is sleeping in Room 210, but when he gets his answer he does not explain why he asked it but goes on to talk about his bloody hands. They are nervous, their thoughts (and we assume their hearts) are racing to the extent that they are incoherent. Their nervous tension gets communicated to the audience.
