Robert Frost's "A Masque of Reason," is a satire of a lost and hidden chapter of the Book of Job. While Job and his wife sit beneath a tree, it suddenly becomes animated and speaks to them. They soon learn that the tree is actually God. After constructing a makeshift throne, God proceeds to tell Job that he is going to make him a saint. God also apologizes to Job's wife for not helping her when she was accused of witchcraft.
