Well, in general, I think he just wants man to understand the relationship he has with God, the Universe, himself, society, etc. He wants man to understand himself and his relationship with everything else.

Not that that really grasps the entire poem, but... I do think that is what he wants. He wants us to understand and see what he sees... how we relate to the rest of the universe, how we are connected, and what we should respect and/or serve.
