The characteristics of each type of play were tragedies ended with the main characters dying at the end of the play. Comedies were full of mistaken identities, women dressed as men, men dressed as women, and all sorts of silly complications that were solved at the end. Histories told about kings and noblemen in exciting situations, such as a war or rebellion.
There are two categories play and musical. For musical: Julie Taymor 1998 The Lion King and Susan Stroman 2000 The Producers. For play: Anna D. Shapiro 2008 August: Osage County and Marrianne Elliot 2011 War Horse.
In "Women of Owu," the tragedies revolve around the impact of war and societal upheaval on the lives of women. The narrative highlights their loss of loved ones, the destruction of their homes, and the erosion of their social status and agency in a patriarchal society. The women's resilience is tested as they navigate the aftermath of conflict, facing displacement, trauma, and the struggle to reclaim their identities in a world that has turned chaotic. Ultimately, the story underscores the deep emotional and physical scars left by violence and the enduring strength of women in the face of adversity.
