The biographies usually say "blue" or "blue-gray", but Houdini's eyes were "medium blue" with "sm[all] brown" flecks encircling the pupils, according to Aleš Hrdlička's Measurement Chart of Harry Houdini, National Anthropological Archives, Aleš Hrdlička Papers, Box 130, held at the Smithsonian Institution.

The light color of his eyes is apparent even in black and white photos such as the image (included in "Sources and related links" below) from the Houdini: Art and Magic show at the Skirball Center in Los Angeles.
