Before 1594, it is thought that Shakespeare may have worked with a number of different acting companies, including Lord Strange's Men, Sussex's Men, Derby's Men and Pembroke's Men. Just how many and which ones we are not sure of, so we cannot say for sure which was the first or second company he worked with. All we can say for certain is which was the last company he worked with since he was a member of the Lord Chamberlain's Men (later called the King's Men) from 1594 to his retirement about 1613.
