There is no specific weight. Ideally you should have toned muscles around your stomach but apart from that anyone can do it.

When does the average girl go en pointe?

it deped how long you have been dancing for if a girl has danced since she was very young normally she would start around age 11 or 12. if you only started dancing age or after age 11 it would normally take aout 2 to 3 years before you can start :)

Does dancing in point shoes hurt?

Dancing on pointe all depends on how long you have been dancing and how strong you are. You should have dance experience in flat shoe ballet before doing pointe and NEVER TRY POINTE WITHOUT LESSONS, THIS CAN RUIN YOUR FEET! Be sure you are 11 years or older before you begin, your ankles will be developed by then. Do not try anything that really hurts and never do anything you don't know how to do without your instructor. Wear some kind of toe protector when you are dancing on pointe like a gel pad. Good luck and enjoy your dancing! DOES DANCING IN POINTE SHOES HURT YOUR FEET? For me, it didn't hurt, and still doesn't too bad. For everyone in my class, it hurt, and their feet bleed. It just depends.

What should a dancer weigh?

It really doesn't matter,it really depends on your age if your 11-14 your weight should be about 90-120(11 being 90-100 and 14 being 100-120)so as long as you eat right stay in shape you should be fine.Always remember that dance can help you lose weight.

What do irash dancer keep still while dancing?

While the English were occupying Ireland, they forbade the Irish from performing their songs or dances or even speaking their native language (Gaelic). The legend says that Irish dancers started to keep their arms still so that they could dance around and English looking through the windows wouldn't be able to tell. I have been an Irish dancer for 11 1/2 years, and not all modern Irish dancers keep their arms by their sides, but they do have significantly less arm movement than most other types of dance.
