What were William Shakespeares strengths?

William Shakespeare strengths were that he achieved reputation based on his body work written. He's also considering the greatest poet and playwright. What impresses me most is the timeless wisdom in his the plays, even though the world has learned so much since Shakespeare's time. His words, original and memorable, reflect an understanding of people and life.

Writing sonnets, and generally writing very fluidly in blank verse, having command of an extremely terse and pithy form of expression, an understanding of and a certain amount of sympathy for absolutely everyone, and an understanding that people are not simple or consistent in their characters, and that their flaws and strengths can change under different circumstances. (Too bad so many English teachers don't realize that he wrote characters that way!)
