Manipulative
Manupulative, That's her most important character trait in the story, as it drives the entire plot.
Because in reality, Abigail was only 11 and john proctor 60. This would be quite disgusting....
Abigail Williams is a manipulative and self-serving character in Arthur Miller's "The Crucible." Driven by her desire for power and to rekindle her past love with John Proctor, she orchestrates a wave of hysteria in Salem to divert attention from her own misdeeds. Abigail is cunning, willing to betray friends and family to achieve her goals, and embodies the themes of jealousy and the consequences of unchecked ambition. Her actions ultimately reveal the dangers of mass paranoia and the fragility of human morality.
these two characters are both controlling, ambitious and and have deception of cruel.
Miller uses the character of Abigail Williams to try and represent the Devil in the way that in the play she is portrayed as evil and seductive, having an affair with John Proctor, and she was thought to of been 17 years old and after the hanging of Proctor, she is thought to of run away to Boston and become a prostitute. When in reality, the real Abigail Williams was thought to of been one of the girls who did lead as the same in the play, but she was 12 years old.The real life Abigail Williams was only eleven years old at the time of the Salem Witch Trials. Arthur Miller's Abigail is a manipulative and sexually charged seventeen year old that has an affair with John Proctor. However, the real life Abigail Williams did not have an affair with Proctor, or if she did it can not be proven. She was a servant in their household, however, and historians are unsure as to why she would accuse the lady of the house of using witchcraft and not the man.

In Act I of "The Crucible," the relationship between Abigail Williams and the Proctors, particularly John Proctor, is tense and complicated. Abigail, who previously had an affair with John, desires to rekindle their relationship, while John is trying to distance himself from her due to guilt and his commitment to his wife, Elizabeth. This creates a dynamic of manipulation and desire, as Abigail is willing to go to great lengths, including deceit, to achieve her goals. The underlying tension sets the stage for the ensuing conflicts in the play.
