I think it was around 1979 with My Bologna.
LOL. Yea, then Jimi Land can call himself Weird Alcoholic.
Not yet, but he will be doing his first two shows in Britain in December of 2010.
The quote is said by one of the weird sisters in the play Macbeth as they brew up evil spirits and invite Hecate to attend, in anticipation of Macbeth's desperate arrival to hear his fate from them. Macbeth finds the weird sisters in a cave and he immediately sees that they are doing something unearthly and greets them with "How now you black and secret midnight hags?". Means > I greet you, what are you doing evil women? One of the weird sisters replies to him, " ...a deed without a name". This means that they are meddling with unearthly spirits and evil of the most unearthly kind. A deed (act) which is SO evil that it has no words or earthly definition to describe it. It is beyond evil, beyond earthly good and evil. It is evil and madness beyond any human comprehension and even beyond words or description. A deed without a name.

Neil Diamond would not mind having Weird Al Yankovic parody Sweet Caroline as long as he was singing the parody for money and not the real song
She didn't. Her management team did, and refused to let her watch it. But she eventually did, and gave it her blessing.

parody is protected free speech. the thing doing the parody usually should create a commentary on the original work through the parody, and the thing doing the parody is generally better off as being an established parody/comedy outlet as to make it clear that it isnt replicating the original work but rather it is creating a new work commentating on the old.
For the people who are watching you not knowing what your doing it is going to be weird but to people who know what your doing it won't.
Elton. Doing the NYT Crossword this morning?
I believe that he did a performance about playing baseball. He made a parody of "party in the USA" and he called this parody "great day to play baseball"
stop doing weird things
Parody may not work when the audience is not familiar with the original material being parodied, or when the humor is offensive or inappropriate. Additionally, if the parody lacks cleverness or creativity in its execution, it may fail to resonate with viewers.
It depends on what you're doing it for, how and where you're doing it, and more. A parody of the commercial would likely be defensible under fair use.
