Shakespeare's plays have been played all over the place, almost from the moment they were written. We do not have anything like a complete account of where and when Shakespeare's or anyone else's plays were written, except for occasional mentions in diaries and court records. Here are some examples of performances which we have documented.

March 3, 1592: Henry VI Part 1 at the Rose

January 24, 1594: Titus Andronicus at the Rose

June 5, 1594: Titus Andronicus at Newington Butts Theatre

December 28, 1594: The Comedy of Errors at Gray's Inn Hall

December 9, 1595: Richard II at Sir Edward Hoby's house

December 1597: Love's Labour's Lost, at Court

September 21, 1599: Julius Caesar at the Globe Theatre

February 7, 1601: Richard II at the Globe Theatre

February 2, 1602: Twelfth Night at the Middle Temple Hall

March 6, 1600: Henry IV Part 1 at Court

November 1, 1604: Othello at the Whitehall Palace

December 28, 1604: The Comedy of Errors at Court.

January 1605: Love's Labour's Lost, at Sir Robert Cecil's House

September 30, 1607: Richard II on board the Red Dragon anchored off Sierra Leone

April 20, 1610: Macbeth at the Globe Theatre

They have been performed all over the world constantly for the last 400 years.

Even during his lifetime documented performances of the plays took place in various theatres, in the hall of the Law School, in people's private houses, at the royal palace and even on board a ship anchored off the coast of Africa. The performances took place in the afternoon (if outdoors) or the evening (if indoors).
