MacBeth, High King of Scotland from 1040 to 1057, is buried where all rightful kings of Scotland were buried until the 12th Century (thus proving he was the rightful king of Scotland and not the murderer of King Duncan, my 28th great grandfather)...in the cemetery of Saint Orans Chapel, Iona, Scotland. Shakespeare got it all wrong, i.e., there was no Banquo, there was no MacDuff, there was no Lady Macbeth (MacBeth's wife was Gruoch and she outlived MacBeth), and there was no hatred of MacBeth by the Scots. It took an English army 3 years to finally kill MacBeth in 1057 after a reign so peaceful that MacBeth took a trip to Rome to receive the blessing of the Pope and "scatter coins like seed to the poor".
