If this means the first fight in Act I Scene I, Romeo was moping at a place called the sycamore grove, and the reason he is unhappy is because Rosaline had broken his heart. She had sworn off men for what is mistakenly believed by many nowadays to be religious purposes, but actually because she just doesn't like Romeo.
