Freddie Davies was doing his "dead budgie" routine long before the parrot was on Monty Python. eg "This budgie is dead, deeeceased, kicked the bucket, snuffed it" all with his characteristic comedy lisp. How did Cleese and Chapman get away with ripping it off?
