The Battle of Agincourt (pronounced a zhin cor) was fought on 25 October 1415 (Saint Crispin's Day), in northern France as part of the Hundred Years' War. The armies involved were those of the English King Henry V and Charles VI of France. Charles did not command his army himself, as he was incapacitated. The French were commanded by the Constable Charles d'Albret and various prominent French noblemen of the Armagnac party. The battle is notable for the use of the English longbow, which the English used in very large numbers, with longbowmen forming the vast majority of their army. The battle was also immortalised by William Shakespeare as the centrepiece of his play Henry V.
As far as we know, he wasn't. But the Spanish Armada was during Shakespeare's "lost years" so who knows what he was doing at that time. For all we know he might have been in the army at Tilbury listening to the Queen's speech.
England was at war with Spain in 1588 when the Spaniards sent their Armada to secure the English Channel and provide covering fire for an invasion army which they were mustering in the Netherlands. Unfortunately for them, the Armada was defeated by the English Navy, the incompetence of its commanders and the weather, and the invasion never happened.

The archival records are incomplete at best and exaggeration of the odds was often used to present the English victory as a greater victory. The number of long bows involved ranges from 7,000 to 8,500 and the number of French casualties to this specialized weapon system is variously reported as between 7,000 and 10,000 men. English reports often indicate that they had no more than 100 casualties while French reports claim that English deaths were as high as 1,600. Some report the English as having as few as few as few as 6,000 men against a French force of 36,000. Others indicate the that the English force was as large as 10,000 and the French as small as 22,000. In any case, it was a major victory for Henry V of England.
