I just discovered the anomaly of 'Tradition' showing up in reggae. I originally heard the tune pop up in a song by Richie Spice, and then heard a completely different song my another artist. Hearing two exact melody lines pop up in two songs that are not related made me search out what the hell the melody was, whether it be a folk song or some tribute to another artist. Anyway, I stumbled upon someone's comment on YouTube, and...there you have it.
The two songs I know of, with the tradition melody, are as follows:
Richie Spice - High Grade
Augustus Pablo - Skanking Easy
There may be more, and I'll obviously continue to search for them now that I know what the tune is.

Fiddler on the Roof 30 Years of Tradition - 2001 TV was released on: USA: 3 November 2001
The play "Fiddler on the Roof" is named after the image of a fiddler balancing precariously on a roof, symbolizing the struggle of maintaining tradition in a changing world. The fiddler represents the character Tevye's desire to keep his cultural heritage alive while navigating the pressures of modernity and the challenges faced by his family. The roof serves as a metaphor for the fragile balance between tradition and change, highlighting the themes of resilience and adaptation.
Yes, fiddler on the roof, is a metaphor. Tevye basically states this in the first scene "we are all like... a Fiddler on the ROOF!" as the first song Tradition (which is another very heavily used theme in the show) The fiddler and his shakiness, almost falling over, as Tevye also states in his opening "speech" represents the breaking with tradition that Tevye and his family do throughout the show.
Fiddler on the Roof is a famous musical. Notable songs from Fiddler on the Roof include "Tradition", "Sunrise, Sunset", "If I Were a Rich Man" and "Matchmaker, Matchmaker".
