Demetrius is a young Athenian, that plays one of the three couples of lovers in Shakespeares A Midsummernight's dream. He is in love with hermia and wants to marry her, but hermia doesn't love him. She loves Lysander and wants to elope with him. Hermia has a good friend, Helena. Before Demetrius fell in love with hermia, he loved Helena and she replied his love. Seeing hermia let melt his love to her, but Helena still loves him and idolices him. He is rude to her and says that he hates her. At the end of the book he marries Helena though, because of the magical power of the love flower that oberon, the king of the ferrie sand puck a farry put on his eyelids. Demetrius is blind by that magic and has to fell in love with the first peron he sees after waking up.. Witch is Helena and so they get together and marry.
