He is an amazing poet. He was brought up to Oxfordshire but now he lives in Cambridge where he teaches English, loudly.
He describes his favourite witch death as being that in which one takes a witch, and a barrel, and a series of lengthy nails. Then, inserting the witch into the barrel, one hammers in the long nails and rolls the witch down any appropriately steep hill. He does have a lengthy list of preferred witch deaths, but lists this as his personal favourite.
He is not a fan of the English poetress Gillian Clarke, describing her to a GCSE English literature class as "Gillian! She is not your friend!"
As an end note, this biographer feels they should note his strong interest in table legs; especially those of a Victorian nature.

Oliver Shelley was born on the 20th December 1964. He lives in Cambridge. The poem Grandfather is about his father's father - Henry Shelley - who was blind. The poem is about trips to the beach at Worthing, in Sussex.

Mr O. Shelley has been noted as saying, "there are no right angles in birth. Praise the Lord!". Despite this apparent expression of faith, he is, in fact, a noted atheist. However, it can be inferred from this statement that in fact he has witnessed child birth in some form.
