Well, no, since Shakespeare did not in fact have any postsecondary education (college), and some people doubt that he finished grammar school (high school). His father, although he was rich when Shakespeare was young, seems to have fallen on hard times and may have had trouble paying school fees.
This is not to say that Shakespeare's father did not influence him. He may have done, but he didn't influence him by sending him to university.

∙ 11y agoOf course you are going to get a lot of people saying "William Shakespeare" and why not? He was a very good poet. Some people will point to Edmund Spenser, or John Donne, both Shakespeare's contemporaries.
Of course, not all poets of the time were writing in English. Dvija Madhab was a poet writing in Bengali at that time, and Cyprian Bazylik in Polish. Who is to say that they are worse poets just because they didn't write in English?
