There really wasn't any Animosity between them, Natalie Wood would not talk to him at all. She had stated that she did not like Richard Beyer and according to the cast members, he was on her "s" list" She wanted Wareen Beatty to play "Tony" Richard did not do anything to her, she just did not like him.
