For most of the period of his life that we know about, Shakespeare was self-employed in a partnership relationship with other actors. Their partnership was called the Lord Chamberlain's Men, and later The King's Men. During this period, Shakespeare had no "boss". Before 1594, he worked with several theatre companies as a hired actor, which meant he was an employee, entitled only to a wage and not to a share in the profits, if any, of the company. Some of the companies he might have been associated with in his early career are the Queen's Men, Lord Strange's Men, Pembroke's Men, Derby's Men and Sussex's Men. His "boss" would have been the partners running whatever company he was working for. We have no clue whatsoever what kind of work he did in Stratford before becoming a part of the theatre world.

A former employee is a person who used to work for the company but no longer do. This includes those that were let go or that quit on their own.
I had a positive working relationship with my former boss and co-workers. We maintained open communication, which fostered a collaborative environment. I appreciated their support and feedback, and I often contributed to team discussions, which helped strengthen our connections. Overall, I enjoyed the camaraderie and teamwork we built together.
John and Mary Arden, Shakespeares parents, did encourage Shakespeare
