The poem was written on November 12, 2008 by CHRISTOPHER MARK BABINSKI and is slightly different in presentation.
Timeless Beginnings and Ends
The clock of life is wound But only once, and no man Has the power to tell, just when The hands of time will stop, at Late or early hour.
Now is the only time you own, To live, love, toil with a will, Your life is a gift from God, to choose Your own course from the beginning To the end, place no faith in time, For the clock may soon be still.

This poem is much, much older than 2008. I have a framed picture with this on it and it is much older than 2008, plus it states author unknown. I think fhis is someone trying to take credit for the original author.
Hello viewers, I would like to respond to Brenda Morrow statement by providing a copy of a post that should explain the November 12, 2008 post above, I did write this poem as it is stated word for word by never reading another poem like it.
Here is the post I made back on November of 2008.
Hello Christina
Did you read a poem like the one you wrote in which your were inspired?
I wrote a poem on November 12, 2008 in which I state similar awareness to timeless beginning and ends.
My poems speaks of the second chance to life and the need to be aware of a simple life choices we all take as common everyday events.
It became aware to me, a second chance in life only comes once in a life time, so I wrote the following poem.

Written
November 12, 2008 soon after God revealed to me a second change at life when I was serious injured and was on my way through deaths journey.
It was my choice to stay and God granted my request. We all have a choice given at birth, we simple need to ask from your hearts.
When life for any reason has you on a journey towards death. Read this poem, place it close to your heart and believe with all of your heart mind and sole, the gift of life will be placed in your path to choose the beginning to the end, for one day the clock of life may soon be still.
I am blessed with lifes joys to live, love and toil with a will.
God bless
Chris Babinski
