Pageants are often criticized for promoting unrealistic beauty standards and perpetuating stereotypes, which can lead to low self-esteem and body image issues among participants and viewers. They may objectify contestants, reducing individuals to their appearance rather than their talents or intelligence. Additionally, the competitive nature of pageants can foster unhealthy rivalries and emphasize superficial qualities over personal character and achievement. This emphasis on physical attributes can undermine the values of diversity and inclusivity in society.
My personal 2 favorite pageants are:National American MissAmerican CoedBoth of these pageants have state pageants!
Their all different pageants, One is referring too men dressed as women in the sense that they are gay transsexuals or transvestites. the other is an international pageant in which is a pageant for international contestants. The requirements for the GAY pageants are usually the same as any other: 18 or 21+ and that the person be gay, which would be unethical as a requirement since we cant tell who is gay and who isn't by looks, There also might be an admittance fee also, those 2 are just simple rules that many adult pageants follow.
Beauty Pageants started in the 1920's . Child beauty pageants started in the 1960's
There has been about 85 Miss America pageants.
No I have never ever seen partner beauty pageants.

It is impossible to know how many girls are entered into beauty pageants because there are so many different pageants, and some girls start entering them at very young ages. Still, only a small percentage of girls enter pageants, and still fewer make it to the big name pageants like Miss America, Miss USA, etc.
Beauty Pageants started in 1854. The first one was held by P.T. Burnum.
