Barbantio's reaction to Othello and Desdemona's marriage was he thought that Othello used magic on Desdemona. He couldn't believe his daughter, a Venetian woman would love a dark Moor without Othello using magic.

Brabantio is miffed that he was not consulted about Desdemona's marriage to Othello. Othello is not the person he would have chosen as a husband for her: he is not rich, he is not from an important family, and he is a different colour. However, since they have eloped, the only argument he can come up with to have the marriage annulled is that Desdemona did not marry Othello of her own free will. This is patently ridiculous.

He accepts it, but says a number of very cruel and hurtful things: he wishes he had adopted a child instead of having Desdemona, and is glad that he doesn't have a second daughter because he would lock her up to prevent her doing what Desdemona has done.

He was outraged. They didn't ask him about it or even invite him to the wedding.

Why does lady Capulet want Juliet to consider marriage?

You mean "Why does Capulet NOT let Juliet choose who she marries?" In many cultures around the world, people, especially young people, do not arrange their own marriages. India is a great example. The same situation applied to the society being represented in the play. Indeed, even in countries where people generally choose the people they marry, people who are not yet adults (who are, for example, thirteen like Juliet) may not marry without the consent of the parents, who have every right to oppose the proposed marriage. And that is certainly what the Capulets would have said about the idea of marrying Juliet to Romeo. Romeo, Juliet and the Friar hoped that if it was shown that they had not only gone through a form of marriage, but that they had consummated it by having sex, the Capulets would be forced to accept the situation. That is why they kept the marriage secret.

What motive does Creon assign to those who oppose him in 'Antigone'?

That they can be bribed is the motive that Creon assigns to those who oppose him in "Antigone" by Sophocles (495 B.C.E. - 405 B.C.E.).Specifically, Theban King Creon announces that opposition exists to him and his rule in Thebes. He characterizes his opponents as powerful and wealthy but cowardly. He describes them as bribing to do for money what they themselves are too cowardly to do.

Did emeline pankhurst play a greater part in the womens sufferage movement than her daughters?

Neither Emiline Pankhurst nor her daughters played a very great part in the cause of female suffrage. The Suffragettes refused to join with the Labour movement in their call for universal suffrage. The Suffragette movement, by this refusal, is shown to oppose voting rights for working class women. It was the demands of the Lobour movement that were reflected in the Reform Act of 1918. The franchise was extended to working class men and to some women, provided they met certain criteria, mainly that they should be married to men with voting rights. This was not at all what the Suffragettes had been fighting for, the only conclusion can be that the Suffragettes were not responsible for winning voting rights for women in Britain. The only Pankhusrt who comes out of this well is Sylvia. She was expelled from the WSPU in 1914 because of her association with the Labour movement and work with the working classes of the East End of London.
